Alliance for Advanced Sanitation

Dear Members, Partners and Stakeholders

As of July 1, 2019, the Alliance for Advanced Sanitation has moved into a new phase of its existence.  While the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) remains committed to the original mission of the Alliance, numerous factors have led to how UNL going forward will contribute to the mission.

Dr. Angela Anandappa is taking up the challenge to establish the Alliance as a 501 (c) (3) entity separate from UNL and based in Chicago, IL.  To effectively do that, she is transitioning away from her Research Assistant Professor role with UNL.  Nevertheless, the UNL Department of Food Science and Technology, and The Food Processing Center are keen on collaborating with the Alliance and a few other university partners in order to meet research and educational objectives that have been identified as important to sanitation.

Over the course of the next few months as transition occurs for both the Alliance and for sanitation activities at UNL, feel free to reach out to Dr. Anandappa angieanandappa@gmail.com and/or me cweller1@unl.edu with questions.  Also expect further communication for our entities as things develop.
